Brownies with Honey and Walnuts

Hello! Here's an unexpected twist to a favorite dessert. Honey is a healthier alternative

to the normal sugar one would use in brownies, plus it tastes great!

Also, this recipe is made with gluten-free flour.

 

For the brownies:

4 tablespoons softened butter

3 tablespoons honey

1/2 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pinch salt

 7 tablespoons sorghum flour

7 tablespoons sweet white rice flour

3 tablespoons cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

 

Mix ingredients in the order described and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 

 

For the whipped cream honey topping:

2-1/2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

1 tablespoon very softened butter

3 tablespoons honey

 

Whip cream until whipped. Stir in butter and honey. Spread on brownies.

Optional: top with walnuts
